All standard and advanced training courses of the Kiel School in 2017 are now fully booked. The only course for which we still have vacancies in 2017 is the advanced training course, "Laparoscopy on Human Body Donors: Gynaecology" from 6th - 7th November 2017. This course is designed for gynaecologists with advanced laparoscopic skills and a special interest in urogynaecological and oncological surgical procedures. If you are interested in registering for this course, please contact us at email@example.com.
Our second standard training course of the year took place from 26th - 28th April 2017. The course was advertised as an English-speaking course but the interest on the part of our German colleagues was so high that eight gynaecologists working in Germany joined the training programme. The course language remained English which did not prove an obstacle for any of the participants as all felt well looked after at the end of the training programme.
We successfully concluded our course year with a German-speaking standard training course from 28th - 30th November. The key topics were access techniques, safety-steps, adnexal surgery and operative hysteroscopy.
The second of three training courses in November was an English-speaking advanced training course, focusing on uterus myomatosus, hysterectomy, myomectomy and endometriosis. The 3½-day course began Monday afternoon with an intensive training in clinical anatomy in the Institute of Anatomy. This training session, held by Prof. Thilo Wedel, included an anatomical refresher course on the female pelvis, featuring a demonstration of anatomical specimens.
